O’Roqesh religious belief is at once similar and radically different from that of the Samites. According to O’Roqesh dogma, shortly after God created Samael, the first Samite, He created Ruqk, the first O’Roqesh, and his second creation improved greatly upon the first. When it came time for God to assign resources to His children, he called upon them both to create wonderous item. Ruqk created the Ark of the Chosen, a magnificent reliquary for God’s holy power. However, just as he was finishing his creation, Ruqk was distracted by a commotion that had been instigated by Samael. When he left to investigate, Samael stole the Ark and presented it to God as his own creation. Thus, the Samites were awarded the rich mountains, wealthy in ore and magic, in which to build their kingdom. When Ruqk returned he chose the dry deserts, because they were the closest terrain to the mountains of his brother’s people, and he knew that one day his children must take back what had been stolen from them.
O’Roqesh religious dogma centers on the dominance and superiority of the O’Roqesh and the constant use of trickery by the lesser, weaker races because they wouldn’t be able to compete in a fair fight. Righteousness carries with it an obligation to spread the word of God far and wide, and thus the O’Roqesh wage religious wars almost constantly on their unfortunate neighbors.
